BinDrop PDX is a woman-owned, family-operated business serving the Portland metro area with reusable plastic moving box rentals. We believe moving should be simpler, more organized, and less wasteful than relying on traditional cardboard boxes.
We're passionate about solving everyday problems in practical, convenient, and eco-friendly ways. Our durable, stackable moving bins help take some of the stress out of moving by saving time, reducing cardboard waste, and keeping your belongings organized from one home to the next.
Tualatin has a good mix of apartments, townhomes, and single-family neighborhoods, and we regularly serve moves throughout the city — from the complexes near Bridgeport Village to the residential streets around Tualatin Commons. It's also a city where movers frequently relocate between Tualatin and its neighbors: Tigard, Sherwood, and Lake Oswego are all common pairing cities for our Tualatin customers, and we're set up to handle moves where delivery and pickup are in different cities.

How is BinDrop PDX different from buying cardboard moving boxes?
With BinDrop PDX, we deliver sturdy, waterproof plastic moving boxes to your door and pick them up when you're done — no trip to the store, no boxes to tape, no recycling pile afterward. Cardboard boxes collapse, absorb moisture, and get thrown away after one move. Our reusable bins stack evenly on any moving truck, protect your belongings better, and typically cost less than buying an equivalent number of cardboard boxes at Home Depot or U-Haul.
How much does it cost to rent moving boxes in Portland?
Our kits start at $59 for a 10-bin kit (studios and dorms) and go up to $219 for a 60-bin kit for large homes. Every kit includes delivery, a full 2-week rental, and pickup — there's no separate delivery charge. Compare that to buying 20–60 cardboard moving boxes plus tape and packing supplies, and BinDrop PDX almost always comes out ahead on price.
How many moving boxes do I need for my move?
A general guide: a studio or 1-bedroom apartment needs about 20–30 boxes; a 2–3 bedroom home needs 40–60; a 4+ bedroom home may need 60 or more. Our 10 Bin Kit is great for dorms, events, or very small moves. The 20 Bin Kit covers most studios and 1-bedroom apartments, the 40 Bin Kit handles most 2–3 bedroom moves, and the 60 Bin Kit is best for larger homes. When in doubt, size up — unused bins don't cost extra.
What areas do you deliver moving boxes to?
We deliver throughout the greater Portland metro — including Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Oregon City, Sherwood, Tualatin, Wilsonville, Woodburn, Happy Valley, and surrounding areas within about 30 miles of Lake Oswego. Are reusable moving bins actually better than cardboard boxes?
In almost every way — yes. Our reusable plastic moving boxes are waterproof (cardboard isn't), don't require tape, don't collapse under weight, and stack perfectly in a moving truck. You don't have to source them in advance or break them down and dispose of them afterward. For most Portland-area moves, renting plastic moving boxes is also less expensive overall than buying a comparable number of cardboard ones.
How does the moving box rental process work?
Pick your kit size, choose a delivery date at least 2 days out, and complete the booking form. We deliver your clean bins between 8 AM and 12 PM on your delivery date. You have 2 weeks to pack, move, and unpack at your own pace. When you're done, we come back and pick everything up — please have bins empty and ready by 11 AM on your pickup date. If you need more time, weekly extensions are available for a small fee.
How far in advance should I book?
We ask for at least 2 days' notice for delivery. For weekend deliveries or during peak moving season (May through September), booking 1–2 weeks ahead is a good idea to lock in your dates. You can check real-time availability directly in the booking calendar above.

Rental Agreement
1. Rental Period. The standard rental period is 2 weeks (14 days) from the scheduled drop-off date. Rentals that extend beyond the agreed period without a pre-approved extension will be charged the applicable weekly extension fee automatically to the card on file.
2. Equipment Included. Each kit includes the number of moving bins and hand truck dollies listed for the selected kit tier. All equipment must be returned in the same clean, functional condition it was delivered in. Equipment is inspected and cleaned before every rental.
3. Add-On Equipment. Optional add-ons include rental equipment (Hand Truck, Flat Dolly). Rental equipment is rented for the duration of the rental period and must be returned at pickup. Lost, stolen, or unreturned equipment will be charged at replacement cost: Hand Truck — $150; Flat Dolly — $75.
4. Damage Policy. Customer is responsible for any damage to bins, lids, dollies, or hand trucks beyond normal wear and tear. BinDrop PDX reserves the right to charge the card on file for repair or replacement costs. Missing or damaged bin fees are tiered: $25 for the first bin, then $10 for each additional bin (e.g. 3 bins = $45). Missing or damaged lids: $8 per lid. Damaged dolly replacement: $75. Damaged hand truck replacement: $150.
5. Cleaning Fees. Equipment returned excessively dirty, with food residue, hazardous materials, or strong odors may be subject to a cleaning fee of up to $50.
6. Cancellations & Refunds. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled drop-off date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of drop-off are non-refundable. No-shows are non-refundable.
7. Access Requirements. Customer must ensure clear access for delivery and pickup at the provided address. BinDrop PDX is not responsible for delays caused by blocked access, locked gates, or unavailable recipients.
8. Liability. BinDrop PDX is not liable for any damage to property, flooring, walls, or vehicles during delivery, use, or pickup of rental equipment. Customer assumes full responsibility for safe and appropriate use of all rented equipment.
9. Card on File. By completing this booking, customer authorizes BinDrop PDX to charge the card on file for any outstanding extension fees, damage charges, cleaning fees, or replacement costs incurred during the rental period.
